Lowering the ground coverage and building an internal appeal was the design ideation for this home. The open versus built as a formula was proposed to see that the voids in its detail contributed to the associated spaces. The courtyard is absolutely that focal which, with its light pouring in added to the delight of the rooms around its periphery. The living has been lowered from the entrance area to bring an ascending mass for the overall form from the street. The layering of the security grill has allowed the courtyard to be an extension of the interior. Terraces have been strategically planted for that relief beyond the enclosed spaces.
