An office with a compact floor plan with a longer axis on the east-west was intended for its strong orientation to the canopy of green on the north. The requirements being office spaces for managers and the supporting team had the main core of open office on the north with the manager chambers on the south. An interactive shade analysis was carried out to maximize the sunlight from the north and required shading devices for fenestrations on the south. The canopy of trees on the east also proved a shading device and thus extensive glazing was worked out on the north and east facades. The service areas along with the bank of toilets took the western face to reduce the radiation and buffer the main areas of the office from this exposure.
